Save the True Arabs is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of all dark-skinned Arabs--past, present and future. One of the major rights that have been taken from dark-skinned Arabs is the right for the world to recognize and then teach and instill in minds the fact that the original Arabs were a black-skinned, kinky-haired people.
Save the True Arabs is also dedicated to fighting for the right of the dark-skinned Arabs throughout the Arab World to be placed in positions which make their presence known such as news media, cabinet positions, government representative positions, etc. If dark-skinned Arabs are left in the background in the Arab World and not placed in visible positions, it's only natural for the world to believe that the Arabs are not a black-skinned, kinky-haired people.
Our goal is also to launch a campaign to teach dark-skinned Arabs, light-skinned Arabs, and the world the truth about Arab history and the appearance of the forefathers of the Arabs.
Save the True Arabs is also committed to launching a campaign to remedy an unfortunate ill that has afflicted the Arab World, namely, distaste for and in many cases prejudice against black-skinned Arabs. It's truly ironic that a people whose forefathers were black-skinned and kinky-haired could be looked down upon by their own people because of their blackness and the kinkiness of their hair. Unfortunately this is the case, and it's time for Arabs to admit this reality and help us fix it. We believe that the best cure for this disease is to make Arabs aware of the appearance of their forefathers--to make them aware of the appearance of the pure, original Arabs.
Take a look at the following link(in Arabic) and notice that out of 108 people who responded to the topic concerning prejudice against dark skin in the Arab World , 67 agreed that prejudice against dark skin exists in the Arab World. Also notice that 5 respondents said that many Arabs pretend that prejudice against dark skin doesn't exist in the Arab World when in fact, it does exist. Out of the 108 respondents, only 27 claimed that prejudice against dark skin doesn't exist in the Arab World. Of all of the respondents who admitted that prejudice against dark skin exists in the Arab World, all said that it shouldn't exist, but none mentioned the fact that the original, pure, noble Arabs were black-skinned and kinky-haired.
Read about the plight of the dark-skinned Arabs throughout the Arab World. Notice how they have been "Africanized" because of their dark complexion. In many cases, even the dark-skinned Arabs have begun to believe that they are dark-skinned as the result of admixture with "Africans". Read about the dark-skinned Arabs of Iraq. Click on the link to watch the video clip about them. Read about the dark-skinned Arabs of Yemen, the so-called "Al Akhdam". The idea that they are not Arabs, but of "African" origin has been forced upon them. Notice how they say that they are originally from Yemen while others say that they are from "Africa" because of their dark complexion. Watch the video clip about them here. Read (in Arabic) what one Yemeni said to another Yemeni who spoke disparagingly about these dark-skinned Yemenis called "Al Akhdam". Here's part of what he said:
"They are nobler than you are. You don't equal one of their fingernails. Those whom you call 'Al Akhdam' are your masters. They are the true people of Hadramout. They are not something that the sea spit up like you are. You are from those whom the waves threw onto the shores of Mukalla."
Do you see the serious misconception that people have about who is an Arab and who isn't and what the original Arabs looked like? Our mission is to correct this misconception.
A True Story
"I am Miskeen-for those who know me! My color is dark-the color of the Arabs!"
(words of Miskeen Al Darimi- 7th century AD.)
What compelled the famous 7th century pure Arab poet Miskeen Al Darimi to say these words? Before I explain the story behind these words and their significance, I should give some background knowledgeabout Miskeen Al Darimi.
Miskeen Al Darimi was from the famous pure Arab tribe of Darim. The tribe of Darim is a tribe descended from the well-known Adnani tribe of Tamim .
Miskeen once proposed to a woman, but she rejected him because of his poorness and his blackness. The woman married another man instead who was richer than Miskeen, but who was from a tribe not as noble and pure as Miskeen's tribe. Miskeen once saw the woman and man together and he stopped and said to them: I am Miskeen-for those who know me! My color is dark-the color of the Arabs! Click here for the full storyin Arabic.
This story shows that as long as 14 hundred years ago, Miskeen Al Darimi felt the need to remind people of what a pure Arab looks like. With the large scale mixing of non Arab blood with Arab blood which started during the Islamic conquests, Miskeen apparently saw the danger of people losing knowledge of what the true Arabs looked like. He obviously felt that we might reach a state where the true Arabs were looked upon as not true Arabs and the mixed Arabs were seen as true Arabs. He attempted to save the true Arabs from being lost as a result of ignorance and deceit.
This is exactly what we at Save the True Arabs aim at doing. Like Miskeen Al Darimi, we aim at letting the world know that the original Arabs were a black-skinned people and that black skin is a sign of purity of Arab blood. Our aim is to remove the dark-skinned Arabs from the background and put them back in the forefront of the Arab world like they once were.
